Folly Surf does not request your device location or use analytics. Unit preferences and a short forecast fallback cache may be stored in your browser. You can clear these through browser settings.

Forecast requests use fixed Folly Beach and offshore buoy coordinates. Traffic requests use the fixed starting points displayed on the page and your selected beach destination; they do not transmit your home address. Provider keys remain on the server. Traffic responses are not placed in the forecast archive.

The server may retain public weather forecasts and buoy observations for forecast verification. Hosting and data providers may process network information such as IP addresses under their own policies. Fonts load from Google Fonts and map tiles load from OpenStreetMap; camera and directions links open the operators’ websites. No camera player is loaded automatically.
